The Wang Fuk Court apartment complex in #HongKong's Tai Po District still bore the marks of the recent fire, yet daily life has never been confined to the ruins. On Wednesday, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government assigned personnel to guide affected residents safely back to their flats and assist them in identifying and retrieving luggage, documents and daily necessities.
To provide sustained support for those impacted, the HKSAR government has activated its "one social worker per household" scheme. As of Thursday, more than 1,600 households had registered and been matched with a dedicated case social worker. In addition, each household will be supported not only by a social worker providing professional welfare services but also by two additional civil servants from other government departments to help handle practical, day-to-day needs. #ChinaSeen
